ACT NOW TO PROTECT OUR MOST BASIC HEALTH PROTECTIONS!
The Bush administration has issued a rule that would allow doctors and nurses to refuse to provide information or treatments they find “objectionable.” And they wouldn’t even have to let you know what they were leaving out.
It’s clear the regulations are designed to let the people who work in health care define birth control as abortion paving the way for them to then refuse to provide women with birth control.
Please take a moment to visit this Planned Parenthood site and provide comments on this regulation. Don't let the Bush administration undermine women’s health!
New! 2008 Nevada Election Pro-Choice Voter Guide
Nevada Advocates for Planned Parenthood Affiliates: Fighting for every person's right to health, freedom & access to reproductive health care.
Candidates need to know that Nevada voters are concerned about Protecting Women's Health. We must talk about issues such as access to affordable birth control and teaching comprehensive, medically accurate sex education.
In Nevada:
♦ One third of women can’t get affordable birth control
♦ One in six women and children don’t have health insurance
♦ Nevada has the highest teen pregnancy rate in the country
♦ Last year the Supreme Court ruled to let politicians restrict reproductive freedoms WITHOUT any safeguards to protect women’s health.

Legislative Priorities
The National Report Card on Women's Health (Oct. 2007) ranks Nevada 39th nationally for women's health, using health indicators such as access to insurance, prenatal care and health screenings.
Nevada Advocates is working to be sure every Nevadan has a right to decide if and when to start a family, to keep teenagers safe and protect their futures, and to protect access to health care. If you're willing to share your story or speak out for women's health - let us know!
Political Priorities
Nevada is a pro-choice state. In 1990, Nevada voters passed the "Freedom of Choice Act" affirming a woman's right to choose. Our political priority is to engage women voters in improving their health care and political choices.
At the January 19, 2008 Presidential Caucuses, a record turnout of Nevadans had a real say in the presidential nomination process. At the same time, Planned Parenthood supporters turned in thousands of pink platform resolutions to protect women's health. You can help us achieve our political goals for 2008:
