Nevada Advocates for Planned Parenthood Affiliates (NAPPA) is the lobbying and election arm for the Planned Parenthood Affiliates in Nevada.

NAPPA and the affiliates work with the national Action Fund to leverage our resources and grassroots efforts to win elections and pass laws that benefit Nevada’s women and their families.  

NAPPA was incorporated in August 2007.  Our initial goal was to get 1,000 people to the January 19 Presidential Caucuses to submit platform planks in support of women’s health and reproductive rights.  Over 3,000 Nevadans pledged to attend the caucus to submit our platform language to both the Republican and Democratic parties.

Planned Parenthood in Nevada:

Two affiliates, Planned Parenthood Mar Monte and Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains, operate five health centers in the state of Nevada, serving more than 50,000 clients per year.  Services offered include annual exams; breast  and cervical cancer screening; birth control methods, including emergency contraception; HIV/AIDs testing; STI/STD testing and treatment; HPV Vaccinations menopause and midlife services, and pregnancy testing and options counseling.  We have one Title X health center in Las Vegas which provides family planning services for very low income women.

Nationally, one in four women voters report a personal tie to Planned Parenthood, either directly or through a close friend or family member who has benefited from our clinic services.
